A Dragon Guards The Dipper

from $75.00

The Purple Night, the only title this solar storm could wear. To date this was the windiest and coldest night I ever photographed. Just getting to my destination was a journey, wind snapped fell trees nearly blocking the road. Then the hike to get to where I wanted to shoot photos was in thigh deep snow with a hard top crust. Breaking through was some work carrying my camera gear. I then shot photos from sundown to sunup and stood the entire time. A windburned face, a cold numb shooting finger, knees aching from being cold and breaking through the snow. I caught the Dragon Guarding The Dipper, a corona explosion that lasted less than a minute.
